Thoughts:
This week we tried something different than our regular routine. We usually have a break/greeting time before the message. It lasts about 4 minutes. We usually have a series intro video that we play to get everyone back in. This week we decided to do a scripture reading/worship thing. I had the band play Our God Reigns as I read Lamentations 3:13-31. After the reading we sang the chorus of Our God Reigns. It was a very powerful time. I sometimes forget how powerful just reading God's word aloud can be. There is so much despair in Lamentations, but then there is hope. An expectant hope that God is faithful and Sovereign and is going to pull through and knows what He's doing. I loved it and hope to do it more often.
Also, this week I decided to start recording some singing on video and throw it up on YouTube. I'll probably do one a week. Who knows. Hope you enjoy it.

Thoughts:
I don't know what it is. Sometimes I wonder if it is just the setlist or the band members. But really I know it was the Holy Spirit. There are just times in worship where God's presence is just 'thick". I can't explain why. I mean, I know He's always there. He's always with us. We are surrounded by Him. But for some reason there are times when it's like He's holding me.
So this past Sunday was one of those days. I mean I try and worship without distraction when I am leading. Sometimes it goes better than others. This Sunday I was able to just really worship. I mean screaming/crying worship.
May my life be that. May I not just walk through life bored and routinely. May I not just run through a set of music bored and routinely. May You be glorified in my life and in my expression of love for You. You are amazing and I don't deserve You. Your grace and mercy is amazing. Thanks!
