2009.10.18

Hey everyone.  Well, I don't have the setlist up or thoughts on the songs we sang because I didn't lead this past Sunday.  I had the great privelage of speaking.  I heard good feedback and hope that God really used me to teach/exhort/encourage/rebuke. I did record another video of a song.

The following video is of the songs In Your City by Phil Wickham.  It's a song on his new album that comes out next month.  You can preorder it and get it digitally now.  Great song about heaven.  Hope you enjoy.  Go to YouTube and leave a comment if you'd like.

Thoughts:

Finally back (Sorry Kurt). I will try and keep this up this time.  My bad.  But for some thoughts... To be honest I really feel like God has been working on my heart recently.  I'm calling it a reformation of my heart.  God is calling me to a greater and more passionate relationship with Him.  From the time I spend with Him everyday to the way I live to the way I work.  Especially on Sundays, or any other time I lead worship, God has impressed on me to worship Him with all that I have.  "Duh" right? Well, there's this thing that happens when you lead worship for a long time.  You get used to it.  Terrible, huh? It happens.  I mean, I am human. But God has really been working on me.  I used to say, "I want to go up and worship God with all my heart and I pray that the congregation will join me." I still believe that to be true and am trying to do that. Just like the John Wesley said about the meetings thousands of people would come to to hear him speak. "I set myself on fire and people come to watch me burn."

Lord, may I be up there on fire and people watch me burn and join in!

Everlasting God: Brenton Brown

Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone): John Newton, arranged by Chris Tomlin & Louie Giglio

Never Let Go: David Crowder

Thoughts:

This week was a great week.  Our guest speaker Doug Stevens spoke on the Kingdom.  How we are a part or need to be a part of His Kingdom growing on earth.  He ended with a definite call to a commitment to Christ and we happened to be singing Amazing Grace. It was a very sweet time. Not too much to add. Oh, I had crazy jet lag and was on 3 hours of sleep this morning. I was a little out of it... but God is still glorified! Even in my weakness! and my craziness!
